"The themes in my work are autobiographical and narrative. I am influenced by cultures that recognize the importance of animals by depicting them in mythical, archetypal or symbolic legends. My current body of sculptural ceramics uses household objects that represent the fragility of domestic relationships, the importance placed on what people collect, and the illusive nature of memories. By using figures and animals these narratives also portray the diversity of life that enhances our humanity through co-existence."
